September in Udon Thani.
This month has held lots of Thai language study, interactions with friends and neighbors, and taking the necessary steps to arrive at a decision regarding future ministry path/visa. Although seasons of waiting on the Lord and seeking His direction could hardly be described as easy, we are thankful for the way we have seen the Lord growing us and walking with us over these past few weeks. He is so kind.
Pictured above is our sweet neighbor, Mae Moo. Her husband passed away within the past year, which was a sobering reality for us to grapple with, and has left her living alone. We are thankful for her openness to friendship and would ask for prayers for her heart to be opened to the gospel of Christ. She is a practicing Buddhist.
A moment captured when the neighbor boys came in to play the other day.
We have switched to a new Thai language helper for the girls and I, named Cher. She is a precious young lady, and I am thankful for the opportunity to push myself in language acquisition, and to read the Bible with her! Join us in praying for her heart to be soft to the Truth.
A weekend visit to a church member's house outside the city.
Nova and her sweet church friend, Nuu Dee.
PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS:
- praise God for the gospel opportunities and relationship growth He has supplied over the past month. Pray for the Spirit's work in the hearts of those who have heard.
- pray for God's clear direction and inspiration for our future ministry path. We are nearing a decision, and feel our need for godly discretion at this time especially.
The Christ can never die:
His truth, not mine, the resting place;
His love, not mine, the tie."
