Four years in Thailand!
A snapshot from an afternoon train ride with some families from church.
Reconnecting with some family friends we hadn't seen in a while! Ever thankful for gracious Thai friends who engage with us and share their lives with us, even as we still make regular language blunders.
This month, Sauced & Tossed had the exciting opportunity to cater a private Mercedez-Benz event in a neighboring province! We were honored to have been invited and hope for more opportunities to cater local events in the future.
We have been able to continue to connect with Tony some as he comes back to Udon to visit his girlfriend. He continues to express interest in believing in Christ, and says he wants to surrender his life to the Lord, but he wants to read through the Bible first to make sure he knows what he's "signing up for." We are so thrilled to see this hunger and excitement in him! We do ask for prayers, though, as he has a friend who is also reaching out to him and sharing tracts with him who is Jehovah's Witness. This has caused some confusion for him about what is true and what the differences are. Pray that he will understand the true gospel of Christ and that the Holy Spirit would use his time reading the Word to clarify any misunderstandings that have arisen.
This month, we celebrated four years in Thailand! So fun to hit that milestone, although in many ways, it feels like we have always lived here.
After every two years, we do a budget revision with our leaders (based off of OMF guidelines). This feels uncomfortable for us :) but we were encouraged by leadership to make mention of this need. This past revision has put us under funded by roughly $250/month. God has faithfully provided for us along this journey for the past four years and we know He will continue to be faithful! If anyone is interested in joining our monthly support team that would be a great blessing to us and the ministry!
PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS:
- praise the Lord for the relationship opportunities He has provided for us this month, and for the way He is growing our church's depth of fellowship.
- praise the Lord for bringing Sheree's mom safely to us here in Udon yesterday! So thankful she will be with us for a few weeks as we welcome our new daughter into our family.
- pray for the safe delivery of baby girl within the next couple days, and that she would be a whole-hearted lover of Christ one day.
- pray for continued gospel conversations with Tony and Paper & Muay specifically.
"Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things. Blessed be His glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with His glory! Amen and amen." Psalm 72:18-19
Wonderful things! We love your updates so much. Congratulations on Esme! She’s beautiful just like her mama. As we pray for Tony, we will pray too that as he is revealed truth, he will be able to share that truth with his JW friend and his friend will come to the truth as well. ❤️ V&K
