Closing out 2024.

Some water buffalo grazing in a nearby canal.

We hope this email finds you all enjoying a New Year Eve, after a sweet Christmas season! What a gift to end the year with a season of reflection on the miracle of Christ's incarnation.

All three of us spend a lot of time in the kitchen with prep for Sauced & Tossed, so we are continually so thankful for the spacious kitchen God provided for us in this new home! The past few weeks we have found ourselves in awe again and again of the kindness of the Lord in providing a house that suits us so well in this season of life.

A belated "Merry Christmas" from the Steffens! We had a sweet and low-key day of celebrating as a little family. It is so fun to experience Christmas with a toddler. :)

"Helping" her dad load the truck before heading to the market. We continue to praise the Lord for his provision for the business. Sales continue to grow and networking/gospel-sharing opportunities at the truck continue to be abundant. We are so thankful.

Making friends! This little girl has a buddhist amulet around her neck, which is very common for both children and adults here. It is believed to help protect from evil spirits and bring good luck.

A picture of our team from our team day this month! We are continually so thankful for these two and they have made a world of difference with running the food truck. They are so capable, gracious with us as first time business owners functioning in a new language and culture, and have truly become great friends of ours. Nova is especially attached to P'Plaa.

PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS:

- Praise God for working in the life of Prince, mentioned in last month's post! He has gotten plugged into the English speaking church in the city and their small group each week. So thankful to see him continue to pursue Christian community and would love prayers that he would have a true conversion and set his hope in Christ!

- Praise God for an amazing year this past year. Though it held many ups and downs, and plenty of stressful situations, we cannot be anything but grateful as we reflect on what God has done in our lives and through the business. He is so good.

- Pray for ever-deepening burden for the lostness around us! As we drive by temples and spirit houses every day, it is easy to stop "seeing" the deception and spiritual darkness they represent with as much burden as we want to.

- Pray that we would be faithful in sharing the gospel and investing in the people God places in our path in 2025.

"It is the whole business of the whole church to preach the whole gospel to the whole world." (Charles H. Spurgeon)
