Reflections on August.

The month of August has been relationally rich for us! It started off with a short weekend trip with some new Thai family friends of ours. When they asked if we were interested in going to the zoo and some nearby mountains together, we were so thrilled for the opportunity to spend this time with them. We are so thankful God placed this family in our life and look forward to further relationship and Jesus-focused conversations!

The place we stayed together was such a peaceful setting.

And then the second half of the month, our friends Derek and Naomi and their two kids came to visit! It was such a treat for our whole family. It is so special to share life here with people who we have also done life with in the States. We will cherish the conversations had and the memories made together.

These two are only two months apart! It was so fun to watch them interact.

This past month was one of the most encouraging we have had yet with Sauced & Tossed, both from a business perspective and a ministry perspective. August was our best month of sales to date, and we are seeing our local customer base grow slowly but surely. We are thankful to have a consistent, public location in the city in a ministry sense as well, and have seen the food truck provide the opportunity for connecting with church members throughout the week, as well as sharing the gospel with customers at the truck. It is humbling to see God answer prayers and orchestrate our lives, and we are thankful to see His hand in these specific ways over the past month. 

One encounter this past month was with a man named  Max in his 30s. He had ordered from the truck before and knew we were Christians, so when he had a crisis in his life, he came to talk with Ryan at the truck and see if he had any advice. It opened up the way for Ryan to share the gospel with him, and as they were conversing, a Thai man from our church came to the truck and was able to share his testimony with Max as well. It was encouraging to see the Spirit working and we pray for more opportunities like this!

- join us in praying for Max's continued interest in Christ and ultimately that he would be saved.

- please pray for O. We mentioned last month that he made a profession of faith in Christ, but is planning on moving to a new province now and our communication with him is much more limited. Pray that he would continue to seek Jesus, and that the Lord would bring other people into his life that know Christ.

- pray for open hearts to the gospel and further opportunities to share with our new young family friends.
