Rainy season in Udon.

A scene from the market we sell at, captured on film.

We started off the month of June with a short trip to Bangkok to spend a few final days with Ben and Ashlyn before they headed back to the States! It was amazing having them here, and we are so thankful for the gift of connection with family.

We were able to set up some tables and chairs in front of the food truck this month, which has been a fun addition! Sales with Sauced & Tossed have not been meeting our initial projections, which can be discouraging, but we are learning to trust God in the process and celebrate the little wins along the way. We would say that selling at the market has provided plenty of opportunities for connection with individuals in our community and led to many gospel conversations, which is encouraging and reminds us of why we are doing this in the first place.

An older lady in our market, making Thai "kanom" over her coal fire.

This month also held building new relationships with a few young Thai moms, which has been an answer to prayer for us! Since moving to Udon, it has felt difficult to connect with moms of young kids in our community, but this past month God has provided the opportunity to connect with 3 different families. So thankful, and looking forward to further investing in these relationships, and ultimately sharing the hope of Christ!

God continues to build the church plant here in number and depth as well, which has been so encouraging. This month, we started having a Bible study for some of the women in the church. This picture was from one of the first meetings, but it has grown even more since then. Such a sweet time to invest in relationship with each other, as we read the Word together.

And sweet Nova started walking on her own this month! Our baby is quickly turning into a toddler and she brings so much joy to our daily life.

PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS:

- praise God for the relationship opportunities He has provided for us this month!

- pray for endurance and grace in continued Thai language acquisition. We are at the 3-year point of living in Thailand, which is often where language learning plateaus. We would love to continue to grow in fluency, and need the grace of God to continue investing time and energy in language acquisition.

- pray for soft hearts to receive the gospel of Christ, and boldness on our part to share readily and clearly.

"The enjoyment of God is the only happiness with which our souls can be satisfied." (Jonathan Edwards)
