Highs and lows.

Since our last update, we have started selling at a new market, and it has been an amazing experience! Although we are still on a very steep learning curve, we see God's hand in bringing us to this market and feel that it is a great fit for our food truck. As our customer base grows, we work out the kinks of online delivery, settle into a routine with opening and closing, and learn how to make food prep outside of business hours more manageable, we have been thankful to see relationships and gospel sharing opportunities opening up as well. Running a food truck feels like a lot of work and a pretty fast-paced lifestyle right now especially, but we see God's grace in confirming that this is a strategic way to be engaging with the community these past few weeks.

Unfortunately, midway through this month, we had an accident with the food truck that broke the door off of the side and warped the frame pretty badly. Immediately after it happened, we were pretty discouraged and unsure of what our next steps should be. Thankfully, God provided a local mechanic shop who was able to work on it, and we are hoping to have it back and be up and running again shortly. Repairs are taking longer than we had hoped, so we have had plenty of opportunity to grow in responding in a Christ-like way and trusting the Lord in stressful situations. We are thankful we can trust that we have a Father who is in control and is working all things for our good and His glory, even when it might not make sense to us!

This month, we were able to have our first monthly "team day" with our employees. It was scheduled for the day after the accident happened, and provided some good opportunity to share about faith in God in spite of our circumstances. We were encouraged by the interactions with our employees, as it seemed comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. So thankful for this team God has provided for Sauced & Tossed.

Although not under circumstances we would have chosen, it has been sweet to have a little extra family time and capacity to catch up on other things while the truck is being repaired!

Nova got to have a little playdate with our neighbor this month. This was a sweet answer to prayer, as I had been wanting to connect with other Thai moms with kids similar ages to Nova. Shortly after we began praying specifically about this, our neighbor invited Nova and I to go hang out with her and her son at their second-hand clothing boutique! Definitely a testimony to God's faithfulness in answering specific prayers.

Towards the end of this month, we have had some special visitors! Our sweet friend, Madi, spent the weekend with us during her travels in Thailand. Thanks for the refreshing and encouraging time together, Madi!

And then Ryan's parents flew in this past Tuesday! It is so fun to show family around in this country we love, and there is no substitute for time with family in person. So thankful to get to have them here!

PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS:

- pray that we would have the truck back soon, and for godly perspective in the meantime.

- praise for an encouraging first few weeks at the new market!

- praise God for the gospel sharing opportunities we have had this month, and pray for the Spirit's work in the hearts of those who have heard.

"Nothing teaches us about the preciousness of the Creator as much as when we learn the emptiness of everything else." (Charles Haddon Spurgeon)
