January happenings.
We started out the month of January with my parents here, which meant lots of fun memories made as we experienced Thailand together. We decided to finish our time together with a trip to Lopburi, the city we moved from this past July, to reconnect with old friends there.
It was so sweet to see old faces and reminisce about our time spent in Lopburi and the way God has used it in our lives. We will always love that city and be thankful for our season of life there, learning to do life in Thailand.
And then Ryan's brother got married in Illinois on January 13th, which meant Nova got to experience America for the first time this month! She was a trooper through all the travels and time changes, and it was so special to get to introduce her to so many people we love in the States. We are so thankful to have the privilege to travel at special times like these.
Congratulations, Jeremy and Elle! We love you guys. 🤍
Nova's first experience with snow!
A highlight for Nova, and for all of us, was for her to finally meet her many cousins! Family is such a gift.
After a meaningful and full time in America, we felt excited and ready to head back to Thailand.
Starting tomorrow, will be selling with our food truck at a new, and much busier, market here in Udon Thani. This market will likely be a more long-term location for us, and we look forward to the relationship opportunities that being there will present for us.
PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS:
- praise our good Father for the gift of travel, of family, and of sweet memories made this month.
- pray for this next season of business for Sauced & Tossed. We will be at a busier market, as well as providing online ordering and delivery starting in February. Pray for grace as we navigate these new experiences, and for gospel sharing opportunities along the way.
- pray for Pume, Boy, and Cheetah. These are individuals that God has placed in our life and who have shown some interest in Christianity. Pray that the Spirit would soften their hearts and open their spiritual eyes, and that we would be faithful to share truth when there is opportunity.
- pray for us in our Thai language journey. Competency in Thai is so essential for the work that we are here to do, but the daily task of language acquisition can feel monotonous and challenging. Pray for endurance and for growing fluency in the Thai language.
"Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head over all." (I Chronicles 29:11)
