Progress.

Nova Gail, the littlest and sweetest kitchen helper. ;)

This month has been full of progress towards end goals, though in small steps and often slower than we'd like. Language learning continues to be a priority for us, and we have encouraging days and discouraging days. Like practicing and developing any skill, you have to devote a lot of time to it and don't always see the progress yourself from day to day. But, by God's grace, we will continue to work towards fluency and be thankful for the little victories along the way!

As we continue to prepare for the official launch of "Sauced & Tossed," God has been so faithful to provide for us! Pictured above is a woman we met at our church gathering, P'Sai. Through some conversations with her, we found out that she has been praying for God to provide an opportunity to work in the food industry, as cooking has been a growing passion of hers. She is passionate about evangelism and when we told her about our business and our vision to use it as a means for evangelism and discipleship, she was so excited. We plan to employ her and think she will play an invaluable role at "Sauced & Tossed." She has already been helping us with some final recipe development and is a gift to us.

Breakfast, anyone? Chicken feet soup is a favorite here. ;)

Our church gathering continues to grow -- in fact, we have pretty much outgrown a home already! Steps are being taken to start renting somewhere where we can continue to meet and grow. It has been encouraging to see God drawing souls to Himself and the church here in Udon Thani picking up traction. We have had the opportunity to lead the music during our worship time this month, which has been a great opportunity and stretched us to grow in confidence using our Thai in song.

One of our neighbors (who has been our current language helper) had a birthday this month and invited us to her celebration, which was sweet! We still find ourselves students of the culture, and especially at times like these. Everyone who comes to the party brings a cake, the "start time" is very fluid, and parties go late into the night, even with kids. Thai culture is so warm and "fun" is a big value.

PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS:

- praise for God orchestrating our paths to cross with P'Sai.

- praise for souls being saved in our community. Two young Thai college students recently gave their lives to Jesus.

- pray for wisdom for our church plant as we are planning on moving into a building.

- pray for humility and unity for brothers and sisters in Christ as we labor together for the sake of Christ here.

- pray specifically for one of our Thai tutors, P'Thon, as we will have extra opportunity to spend time with him this month. He has heard the gospel already, but we are hoping for further spiritual conversations with him.

"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of God who loved me and gave Himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)
